WHO recently published its guide on the mental health of people with neglected tropical diseases. The work analyses the combined social and economic implications and evidences how pain, disability and stigma put people affected by NTDs at high risk of mental depression, anxiety and even suicidal thoughts. Other themes associated with disability, stigmatization and discrimination were also discussed during last week’s webinar hosted by the NTD Department.
